: 5K Earth Day Run/Walk :

Registration is open for the Glen Helen Earth Day 5k/10k! This year, we're chip-timed.

Celebrate Earth Day by running or walking the trails, fire road, and meadows within Glen Helen. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the preservation of our 1000-acre nature preserve and our year-round educational public programming.

Glen Helen 5K/10K Run/Walk

Date: Sunday, April 27, 2014.  Event starts at 10am, rain or shine

Price: 5k $25, 10k $30  Saturday or day of Race $35

Place: Trails of the Glen Helen Nature Preserve, 1075 State Route 343, Yellow Springs, Ohio

Parking: John Bryan Community Center, 100 Dayton Street, Yellow Springs, OH 45387 or Yellow Springs High School, 420 East Enon Road, Yellow Springs, OH 45387

Shuttle: A shuttle bus will run between the parking locations and the Outdoor Education Center for your convenience. The first shuttle is at 7am, the last shuttle is at 9am. Return shuttles will run continuously after the awards ceremony, approximately noon to 2pm.

Race day registration: While we urge you to advance register online for our discounted amount, race day registration forms will be onsite for $30, or you may prefer to download one herePDF file icon.
Cash or check (only) will be accepted by Glen Helen volunteers. Please note— the only way to guarantee you get a t-shirt is to register in advance online!

Advance Packet Pick-up: Advance registrants may pick up t-shirts in advance at Glen Helen (405 Corry Street, Yellow Springs 45387) on Friday, April 19th between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Awards: Awards will be given to top Male/Female winners in age groups from 10 and under to 70 and over (must be a registered participant). The overall male/female will receive a Glen Helen gift in addition to their award.

In Case of Bad Weather: Weather-related updates will be via our website at www.glenhelen.org, and via email, to the address you provide at registration. In the event of thunder or heavy rain, the race will be delayed, with participants invited to spend the time inside our Lodge. Should thunder persist for more than 2 hours, we will cancel the run. Because this is a non-profit fundraiser, there are no refunds. We thank you for the charitable gift.  

Food: Complementary chili, cookies, apples, and bananas for registered 5k runners, as well as snack bars and drinks.
