Imagine a summer camp where you can have fun while learning about the natural world!
Ecocamps are an exciting alternative to recreational camps and offer a quality outdoor experience. Camps last five days, and are led by trained naturalists. Campers spend much of their time participating in theme-related activities with their group.
- Small camp sizes -- no more than 12 campers per camp
- Day and overnight camps for ages 5-15 years
- Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, experienced naturalist counselors
- Quality outdoor learning experiences with hands on programs that are fun and educational
- Daily evening programs; Night hikes for all overnight camps
- On-site education and rehabilitation center for injured hawks and owls
New This Year:
Mini Camps! Mini Camps will be offered Monday, July 1st at 9AM and will run until Wednesday, July 3rd at 2:00PM. They are perfect for kids who may not wish to attend a full week of summer camp, and allow families to spend Independence Day together. Mini Day Camps will run Monday and Tuesday from 9:00AM until 3:30PM, and Wednesday from 9:00AM until 2:00PM. Overnight Mini Camps span Monday at 9AM through Wednesday at 2:00PM. Junior Counselor Opportunities! An exciting volunteer opportunity for our next generation of Ecocamp Staff awaits. This summer we will be hosting one or two Junior counselors each week who will assist with our Day Campers. Application is required for these spots. Applicants must be 16-17 years old and have their own transportation to and from camp each day. Click here for more information.
Naturalist Instructors
College age or older, our Naturalists are selected for their knowledge in the camp's educational focus and their sensitivity, creativity and enthusiasm for working with children. Many Naturalists have previously participated as Naturalists in Ecocamp or our Outdoor School program.
Schedule
Camps run from June 10 through July 26
Overnight camps: Monday 9:00 a.m.- Friday 2:00 p.m.
Transitional camp: Monday - Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. AND Thursday 9:00 a.m. - Friday 2:00 p.m.
Day camps: Monday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. AND Friday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
*Optional extended day camp hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
All parents please come on Friday at 2:00 p.m. to see the Parent Program, a short production by campers!
